Piri Piri Prawns

This spicy Prawn dish is lovely served with French Bread to soak up the spicy sauce.


  • 1 Tbsp Ground Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 6 long fresh¬†red Chillies
  • 1¬†Garlic clove crushed
  • 2 Tbsp shredded Basil leaves
  • 350g cooked peeled fresh Prawns
  • 3 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 100ml Sunflower Oil
  • Lemon or Lime to serve


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
  2. Brush Chillies with Oil and roast for 8-10 minutes, allow to cool then chop
  3. Add the Chillies, Garlic, Paprika, Vinegar, Sea Salt and 80ml of the Oil to a pan and cook over a low to medium heat for 2-3 minutes
  4. Allow to cool and blend until smooth (this sauce can be made the day before and stored in the fridge until needed to save time)
  5. Toss the Prawns in 3 Tbsp of the mixture
  6. Heat the remaining Oil in a pan and add the coated Prawns
  7. Cook on a high heat for 4 minutes stirring from time to time
  8. When cooked remove from the heat, toss in the Basil and serve with the Lemon or Lime and French Bread.
